Wittenberg Drops Conference Opener

Granville, OH- Wittenberg headed to Granville for their first conference match of the season against the Big Red of Denison University. The Tigers were able to put seven points on the board with six different players getting in on the scoring action, but ultimately fell with a 20-7 outcome.

Highlights- Scoring for Wittenberg were Zach Busby, Ethan Pac, Holton Boehmer (2), Dillon McKeigue, Connor Matthews and Dimitri Gonzalez scoring his first collegiate goal. Boehmer led the Tigers in scoring, bringing his season total to six. Wittenberg was able to get on the board in each quarter, with their highest scoring period coming in the fourth with three goals on the Big Red.

Splitting time in goal for the Tigers were Will Westermeyer and Chase Singleton, facing 35 shots and picking up 15 saves on the day. Defensively, Wittenberg tallied 24 ground balls, being led by Colten Simkins with nine on the day which brings his season total to 47.
