Tigers Fall to #22 Denison

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg returned to action at Edwards-Maurer Field for their final conference match-up of the season. The Tigers took on the Big Red of Denison, with a final score of 20-6 and a loss against the number 22 Big Red.

The Red & White were able to put points on the board in each quarter, with Julio Novarini getting things started in the first quarter. Novarini's lone goal in the first would take the Tigers into the second down 6-1. Scoring in the second quarter were Ben Holland assisted by Zach Busby and Novarini with his second of the game. Wittenberg went into the half down 12-3. Kody Gould put up Wittenberg's fourth goal of the game in the third quarter with an assist from Novarini. Getting his second goal of the game was Ben Holland in the fourth quarter with an assist from Noah Mackin. Putting the last goal on the board was Zach Busby with an assist from Julio Novarini to end the game down 20-6.

The Tigers end their season with an overall record of 5-10 and conference record of 5-4

Wittenberg Leaders- The Tigers were led by the duo of Julio Novarini and Ben Holland with two goals each. Novarini also picked up two assists for four points on the day. Ben Rodell led in ground balls picking up four on the day with two caused turnovers. At the face-off was Luke Stanfield going 5-17. In goal for the Tigers was Ben Shevins who faced 33 shots with 13 saves on the day.

NCAC Leaders- Wittenberg has three guys in the top ten for statistics in the NCAC. Ben Holland is at number six in the conference for goals with 33. Holland continues to lead the NCAC in points at number eight with 51 points. In face-off success, Luke Stanfield lands at number eight going 107-219.
