WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Trailing 6-2 early on, Wittenberg clawed back in the season opener before dropping the game 12-10 to Colorado College.
- Nick Gregory and Aaron Blossey combined for nine saves in net, as the Tiger defense forced Colorado into 15 turnovers on the day.
- In his first collegiate game, Noah Moderwell scored three goals and picked up eight ground balls, while Creighton Stephens contributed three assists in the loss.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Tigers of Colorado College jumped out to a 1-0 lead before Wittenberg found themseles a man up, allowing Austin Brady to score off of a Stephens assist.
- Just before the end of the first quarter, Jack Strahm found the back of the twine off of a pass from his brother, David Strahm, as the Tigers trailed 3-2.
- Zach Shy connected on two goals in the second quarter for Wittenberg, as the Tigers trailed 6-4 at the break.
- CC would score four unanswered goals to open up the third quarter, before Moderwell stopped the bleeding with an unassisted goal, as the Tigers trailed 10-5.
- Wittenberg clawed back to 12-10, as CC was able to stall and run out the clock to end the game on top.
