CLEARWATER, Fla. – The Wittenberg men's lacrosse team played the first of two spring break games Wednesday night against Berry College, taking a convincing 14-4 victory to improve to 2-1 on the season.

Statistics for the game were not immediately available, but Head Coach George Harris was pleased his team's performance in the first-ever meeting between Wittenberg and Berry.

"The whole team played well, it was a great team win" Harris said. "[Sophomore] Riley Boehm [(Eden Prairie, Minn./Eden Prairie)] dominated at the faceoff 'x'. [Sophomore] Jesse Langer [(New York, N.Y./Salisbury School)]had another very good game in the goal, and the defense played excellently in front of him.

"I'm happy with the performance. The guys played hard. It was a well-deserved win, well-earned. Hopefully we can continue that into Saturday against Clark, who will be a very tough test for us."

Wittenberg wraps up spring break with a 6:30 p.m. match against Clark (Mass.) on Saturday, March 9, also in Clearwater, Fla. Check WittenbergTigers.com next week for box scores from both spring break games.
