Wittenberg Picks Up Spring Break Win Over Curry

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Wittenberg Tigers got their offense back on track, breaking out for 13 goals in a big win over Curry College in their lone 2009 Spring Break trip game.

The 13-5 win kept the Tigers unbeaten on the young season. But the vibe was quite different from last week's 8-7 overtime escape in the cold of Edwards-Maurer Field against Mount St. Joseph.

Junior Ted Winders (Western Spring, Ill./Lyon Township) put together his biggest offensive performance of the 2009 season with four goals, while junior Jeff Capella (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne) and sophomore Mitch Cohagan (Pickerington, Ohio/North) added three tallies apiece. Sophomore Matt Lord (Pickerington, Ohio/North) chipped in with two scores.

Freshman Spencer Baker (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington) won his second straight game in goal.
