Tigers Wrap Up Spring Break Trip With Win Over Sewanee

CLEARWATER, Fla. - The Wittenberg Tigers put the finishing touches on a productive Spring Break week with a second straight win, this time by a 12-6 margin over Sewanee.

The win wrapped up what Head Coach George Harris termed a "productive week" of practice and games for the Tigers. Carrying a 2-0 record home from the Sunshine State, the Tigers will keep eye toward the sky this week in hopes that the winter weather will break and their March 15 home game against St. Vincent will take place as scheduled.

While a blizzard buried their home campus, the Tigers were busy putting together a second consecutive strong Florida performance. Three days after rallying to defeat Eastern University, Wittenberg trailed by two goals early in this one before turning things around and pull away in the second half.

Three Tiger players finished with hat tricks, starting with sophomore Jeff Capella (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Kilbourne). He was joined with three goals by freshman Mitch Cohagen (Pickerington, Ohio/North) and freshman Brady Christensen (Medina, Ohio/Medina). Also finding the back of the net were sophomore Mike Reinberg (St. Louis, Mo./DeSmet Jesuit), senior Brandon Hulett (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) and sophomore Ted Winders (Western Springs, Ill./Lyons Township).

In goal, freshman Mark DeOliveira (East Hanover, NJ/East Hanover) was stellar again before giving way to senior Andy Shively (Columbus, Ohio/Upper Arlington).

Complete statistics will be available for both games after the coaches return from Florida and have a chance to break down film.
