The Tiger men's lacrosse team completed the 2003 season with a pair of nonconference losses last week to NCAC opponents. On Wednesday, Wittenberg was defeated 19-10 by Kenyon on the road and on Saturday, the Tigers dropped a 13-5 decision at home to Wooster.

Against Kenyon, Wittenberg was outscored 12-0 in the second and third periods before rallying with eight goals in the fourth quarter. Too little, too late, however, as the rally fell nine goals short. Freshman Andy Joly (St. Louis, Mo./DeSmet Jesuit) scored three goals and one assist and freshman Mike Sweeney (Cincinnati, Ohio/Indian Hill) added a pair of tallies.

Against Wooster on Senior Day at Edwards-Maurer Field, Wittenberg fell behind 5-0 in the first quarter and also gave up four fourth-quarter goals to account for the final eight-goal margin. The Tigers were paced offensively by junior Andy Buck (Hilliard, Ohio/Davidson) with two goals and senior Dan Patterson (St. Louis, Mo./DeSmet Jesuit) with one goal and two assists.
