Scott Isphording was named Head Men's Golf Coach in May 2002. He left Wittenberg in 2003.

In his first year at the helm of the Tiger men's golf program, Isphording led his team to a strong fifth-place finish in the North Coast Athletic Conference championship tournament, which included one of the most challenging fields in the country with three NCAA qualifying teams among the nine in competition. The Tigers put together their first winning head-to-head record in more than five years during the 2003 season and compiled one of the lowest stroke totals in school history.

Isphording also serves at assistant football coach/offensive coordinator. In his five years with the Tiger football team, Isphording has helped the winningest team in NCAA Division III history to four North Coast Athletic Conference championships, three undefeated regular seasons and five straight appearances in the NCAA Division III Tournament.

A four-year letterwinner at quarterback for Hanover College, Isphording ranked third in Division III in total offense with 315 yards per game in 1992.

A native of Cincinnati and a 1990 graduate of LaSalle High School, Isphording received a master's degree from Fort Hays State University in Kansas, where he was quarterback coach in 1994 and 1995. While at Fort Hays, Isphording helped his team reach the NCAA Division II playoffs.
