Wittenberg Captures 3rd  with Four Top 25 Finishers

Indianapolis, IN-The Wittenberg Men's Golf team traveled to Indianapolis to take part in the Wabash Invitational and walked away with a 3rd place finish out of 15 teams. 

As a team, Wittenberg carded a first round 297 (+9), second round 298 (+10) and third round 308 (+20) for a total of 901 (+39), only four strokes behind first. 

The top finisher for Wittenberg was Grant Klepitsch, who finished in a tie for eighth. He shot a first round 73 (+1), 76 (+4) in the second and a third round 75 (+3) for a total of 224 (+8). 

Ryan Miller finished 2nd for the Tigers and tied for twelfth overall. He carded a 75 (+3) first, a 72 (E) in the second and a 78 (+6) third for a total of 225 (+9). 

Owen Cotterman and Caleb Domitrovich both finished tied for 23rd, shooting a total of 228 (+12). Cotterman shot a consistent 76 (+4) all 3 rounds and in the three rounds for Domitrovich, he shot a 75 (+3), 74 (+2) and 79 (+7). 

Rounding out the field for the Tigers was Austin Georger who finished tied for 49th. He carded rounds of 74 (+2), 79 (+7) and 82 (+10) for a total of 235 (+19). 

Up Next-The Tigers will compete in their home invitational at Springfield Country Club on Sunday, October 15th and Monday, October 16th.
