HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla.—Wittenberg men's golf vaulted four spots up the leaderboard on Wednesday, as the Tigers carded a spectacular two-over 290. The Tigers entered play on Wednesday in a sixth-place tie, but finished the day in second-place behind top-ranked Huntingdon, who fired a 291 on Wednesday. Wittenberg sits at +12 (588) at the championship, with Huntingdon +8 (584).

Cameron Willis, who started the round tied for second place, remained at one-under for the tournament, as the freshman turned in a one-over 73 on Wednesday.

Garrett Brickley shot up the leaderboard for Wittenberg in round number two, as the senior finished two under, making his way up to a fourth-place tie individually.

Sam Stilwell cracked the top-20 for Wittenberg as well, carding a one-under 71, as the senior is now tied for 19th individually.

With Wittenberg making their move at a national title, Wednesday served as the last round before the field was cut to 18 teams and the six best individuals not on those teams. The day culminated in sudden-death drama on the individual side, as a 3-way playoff was necessary to decide the final two individual spots.

The tournament will continue Thursday morning at 8 a.m. on El Campeon, as all 18 remaining teams and six remaining individuals take to the course for a shot at earning a national championship.
