Tigers Win The Members Invitational

HILTON HEAD, South Carolina—Wittenberg men's golf finished in first place at the Members Invitational hosted by the Golf Club at Indigo Run on Thursday. The Tiger's 294 as a team ended up being nine strokes better than Davis & Elkins College, and 13 better than the University of South Carolina at Beaufort.

The Tigers saw Garrett Brickley and Mark David Wright tie for second place individually, as both carded rounds of 73 (+1) in the single-round tournament. USCB's Newport Laparojkit claimed medal honors with a 72 (E).

Colin Laszlo and Isaac Hartley finished tied for fourth after one round on the 6,707-yard course, as both Tigers carded rounds of 74 (+2).

Rounding out the Tigers top ten finishes was sophomore Chris Eigner, who finished the day with a 75 (+3).

The Tigers win on Hilton Head Island is the second for the team in 2016-17, as Wittenberg claimed first place at the Guy Kuhn Memorial Invitational in Pennsylvania back in September.

The Tigers now await The West Cup on March 27 and 28 at Sierra La Verne Country Club, La Verne, California.
