GREENSBORO, NC - For the second straight year, the Wittenberg Tigers took the No. 2 position at the Tournament Town Championship Preview, which was played at the Grandover Resort and Conference Center, the site of the 2015 NCAA Division III Tournament.

A year after coming up eight strokes short in a 36-hole competition to Illinois Wesleyan, the sixth-ranked Tigers finished nine strokes behind No. 1-ranked Oglethorpe in a two-day, 54-hole competition. Wittenberg and Illinois Wesleyan, which is ranked No. 7 currently, each carded three-round totals of 882 to share runner-up honors.

The teams played rounds on both the East and West courses at Grandover Resort, also the site of the 2014 NCAA Division III Tournament. Wittenberg finished fifth in last year's national tourney.

He was followed by sophomore Sam Stilwell (Dominion, Va./Sterling), who placed 12th with a 221.

Junior Sam Geise (Springboro, Ohio/Springboro) and freshman Dylan Ahonen (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) were next for the Tigers with matchings scores of 225, good for a tie for 23rd place.
