Springfield, Ohio — Wittenberg University's men's and women's golf teams will host a tryout open to any students interested in securing walk-on positions for the 2010-11 school year.
The tryouts will take place Friday, Aug. 20, Saturday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Aug. 22, with the first tee times scheduled for 7 a.m. each day at Windy Knoll Golf Club in Springfield. Junior rates apply, meaning it will cost participants $18 per round.
The deadline to register for the tryout is 8 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 19. To register, e-mail Head Coach Jeff Roope at jroope@wittenberg.edu.
Tee times will be e-mailed to participants after the deadline on Thursday, Aug. 19. Men will play a minimum of 6,800 yards, while women will play a minimum of 5,800 yards. Participants must adhere to Windy Knol Golf Club dress code.
