Travis Schwab joined the Tiger program as the full-time assistant in 2007. In 2013, he was elevated to the position of associate head coach.

Schwab's previous coaching experience includes two years as a graduate assistant at Heidelberg College and one year as an assistant coach at Kenyon College under head coach Matt Croci, a former Wittenberg basketball great and Athletics Hall of Honor member.

Schwab, a 2004 Ohio Wesleyan University graduate, currently is the only player in North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) history to be selected first-team all-conference four consecutive years during his career in the Bishops program. Following his senior season, Schwab was named to the prestigious National Association of Basketball Coaches All-America Team. Schwab's 1,985 career points rank second on the OWU career scoring list and third on the NCAC's all-time list. He also holds the NCAC Tournament record for points in a game with 40 against Wooster in the 2004 semifinals at Wittenberg's HPER Center.

Schwab is married to former Tiger volleyball standout Sarah Matesich. They reside in Columbus with their son, Jacob.
