Cody Sarensen enters his first year on staff as an assistant basketball coach at Wittenberg University. 

Before joining the Tigers, Sarensen spent three seasons in Springfield as the head varsity boys basketball coach at Catholic Central High School in Springfield, OH. While at Catholic Central High School, he went 60-18 in three seasons, winning back-to-back Ohio Heritage Conference and Division IV district championships. In 2018, Sarensen’s team finished 10th in the Final AP State Ranking and in 2019 his team finished 7th in the Final AP State Ranking. He was named the Clark County Boys Basketball Coach of the Year in 2018.

Prior to coaching at Catholic Central High School, Sarensen was a varsity assistant boys' basketball coach at Lancaster High School, a middle school coach, and the reserve boys basketball coach at Fairfield Union High School in Lancaster, Ohio between the years 2009-2014. 

Sarensen graduated from Ohio University in 2013 with a bachelor's degree in Communications and received his Masters in Teaching from Muskingum University in 2014. He currently teaches middle school and resides in Springfield, OH with his wife Maggie.
