Alan Watson joined the Tiger men’s basketball program in 2012-13 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Watson, a 1981 Wittenberg graduate, was a member of Tiger basketball teams in 1979-80 and 1980-81 that compiled a two-year overall record of 57-6 and also included an NCAA Division III National Tournament Third Place finish. 

Watson and his wife, Lisa, relocated to Springfield following his career in Fortune 100 companies for the past twenty-five years, and both remain active in the Wittenberg community as co-chairs of the Wittenberg Parents Executive Committee. 

The Watsons are the parents of a son, Matt and a daughter Sarah, herself a 2012 Wittenberg graduate and former women’s basketball player and team captain.
