Harrison, Scott earn CSC Academic All-District honors in Men’s Basketball

SPRINGFIELD — Wittenberg junior Cameron Harrison (Eaton, Ohio/National Trail) and sophomore Dawson Scott (New Castle, Ind./New Castle) were named to the College Sports Communicators NCAA Division III Men's Basketball Academic All-District Team for the 2023-24 season, the organization announced on Tuesday.

The CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. To earn CSC Academic All-District distinction, student-athletes must be a sophomore or above in class standing with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.50 while competing in 90% of his team's games or starting 66% of those games.

Harrison, an education major, boasts a 3.68 GPA and played in all 27 games with 26 starts in the 2023-24 season. He averaged 10 points, 2 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 26.5 minutes per game while shooting 47.4% from the floor, 45.8% from 3-point range and 76.9% from the foul line.

In 55 career games at Wittenberg, including 28 starts, he has averages of 7.4 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 20.1 minutes per game.

Scott, a biology major, boasts a 3.93 GPA and played in all 27 games off the bench during the 2023-24 season. He averaged 6.1 points and 4.4 rebounds in 21.4 minutes per game while shooting 48.7% from the floor and 67.5% from the foul line.

In 36 career games at Wittenberg, Scott has averages of 4.8 points and 3.5 rebounds in 17.3 minutes per game.

Academic All-District honorees will be considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America ballot. First, second and third team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on April 17.
