Springfield, Ohio - For the second straight game, the Wittenberg Tigers shot better than 50 percent. This time, five different players reached double figures in scoring thanks to the team's efficient offense, and it was that balance that played a key role in a 79-68 victory over Stevenson in the final game of the 2023 Wittenberg Holiday Classic.

After shooting 54 percent against Muskingum on the opening day of the event, Wittenberg shot 51 percent against the Mustangs to improve to 9-4 on the season. The Tigers now head into an extended holiday break in terms of game action, with the next competition scheduled for January 6 at Kenyon.

The Tigers got 32 important points from their bench in the game, 19 more than Stevenson. Leading the way offensively was freshman Tyler Galluch (Springfield, Ohio/Catholic Central) with 20 points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes of action, while sophomore Dawson Scott (New Castle, Indiana/New Castle) had perhaps his best collegiate game with 10 points and three rebounds, also in 27 minutes off the bench.

Junior Trey Killens (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mason) added 14 points and seven assists, despite foul difficulties that limited him to 25 minutes in the game. Senior Jeff Queen (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) added 12 points and three rebounds, and junior Cameron Harrison (Eaton, Ohio/National Trail) chipped in with 10 points and three assists.
