Tigers Sweep Season Series Against Kenyon

Gambier, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Basketball team picked up their second win in a row, taking down the Owls from Kenyon College, 69-52. Going into the half knotted up at 29 apiece, Wittenberg would outscore Kenyon 40-23 through the final 20-minutes. Three Tigers found their way into double digits.

For the fifth game in a row, Trey Killens led the Tiger scoring charge. Killens put up a team-high 18 points, on 4 of 9 shooting from the floor, knocking down 10 of 11 from the charity stripe. Killens added three rebounds and three assists to his tally on the night.

Levi Boettcher added 17 points for the Wittenberg scoring effort. Boettcher converted on 6 of 8 from the floor including 5 of 7 from beyond the arc. Boettcher tallied a team-high eight rebounds with three assists and two blocked shots.

Brice Hill was 3 for 3 from three-point land, going 5 of 6 from the floor, finishing the day with 14 points. Hill tallied four assists with three rebounds and two steals to add to his total.

As a team, Wittenberg shot 51 percent from the floor converting on 23 of 45 from the floor. The Tigers were lighting it up from the beyond the arc, hitting 10 of 19 from three-point land.

Wittenberg will return home to Pam Evans Smith Arena for their final two games of the 2023 regular season. The Tigers will host the Little Giants from Wabash College on Wednesday evening at 7:00 pm.

At halftime of the game, the Wittenberg Athletic Department will be honoring the Wittenberg Women's Cross Country program for their success during the 2022 season and capturing the NCAC Championship.

The Tigers will move on to close out the regular season on Saturday, February 18, hosting the Yeomen from Oberlin College at 3:00 pm.
