Springfield, OH – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Basketball team led the Battling Bishops for over 25 minutes on Wednesday night, defeating Ohio Wesleyan, 58-47. The Tiger offense found their rhythm in the second half, knocking-down 12 of 22 shots from the floor including 6 of 9 from beyond the arc, shooting 54 percent from the floor.
Trey Killens led the Wittenberg attack with his first double-double of the season, putting up 22 points with 11 rebounds. Slicing through the Ohio Wesleyan defense, Killens finished the evening 7 of 14 from the floor, including a perfect 6 of 6 from the foul line and 2 of 4 from beyond the arc.
Cameron Harrison stepped into the rotation providing 15 points, in reserve for the Tigers. Harrison was a sharpshooter from deep, knocking down 4 of 5 shots from three-point land.
Brice Hill buried 3 of 6 three-point shots from deep, providing nine points to the Tiger tally. Hill finished by adding two rebounds two steals and an assist to his credit.
In a game that saw 10 lead changes and an 8-0 scoring run through the opening minutes. Wittenberg dominated the points in the paint on the evening, outscoring the Battling Bishops 20-10.
