Tigers Comeback Effort At Wabash Comes Up Short

Crawfordsville, IN – The Wittenberg Tiger Men's Basketball team traveled to Wabash College, falling to the Little Giants, 72-62. Trey Killens led the Wittenberg Tiger scoring effort, posting 17 points, knocking down 6 of 14 from the floor. The Tigers finished the game shooting 38 percent from the floor, making just two three-point shots. Finding their stride in the second half, Wittenberg cut a 43-23 halftime deficit, outscoring the Little Giants 39-29 through the final 20-minutes.

Josh Tolliver added 14 points, converting on 4 of 9 from the field and hitting all five free throw attempts. Killens led the Wittenberg rebounding effort, tracking down five boards. Jerry Saunders Jr. contributed nine points. Levi Boettcher tallied four of the six Tiger assists on the night.

Wittenberg will return to action on Saturday, January 21st, hosting the Terriers from Hiram College, the action is set to tip at 3:00 PM. Wittenberg Women's Basketball opens up a Hiram doubleheader slate that afternoon, with tipoff set for 1:00 PM against the Terriers.
