Five Score in Double-Figures as Tigers Drop Lords by 12

GAMBIER, Ohio—Wittenberg made it four wins in a row on Wednesday night in Gambier as the Tigers utilized five players scoring in double-figures to cruise past the Lords of Kenyon.  The Tigers only led by two at the break, but managed to outscore Kenyon 38-28 in the second half. Impressively enough, Wittenberg only connected on one of their 13 three point attempts on Wednesday,and still managed to win by 12 on the road. The Tigers were lead by Shane Edwards who recorded a double-double, scoring ten points, pulling down ten boards, dishing out six assists, while also recording three steals and one block. Wittenberg is now 14-6 overall and 8-5 in NCAC play.

GAME NOTES

  • Wittenberg forced Kenyon into 16 turnovers on Wednesday, cashing in on 16 points off of the Lords miscues.  
  • Cody Phillippi, Jaelin Williams, Chad Roy, Connor Seipel and Edwards all scored double-digits for the Tigers, as the team shot 45% from the field.
  • Seipel boosted the average, as the freshman went a perfect five-for-fie from the field on his ten-point night.
  • Wittenberg also got it done on the glass on the road, outrebounding Kenyon 38-34 as Edwards paced the Tigers with ten.
