Springfield, Ohio — The Wittenberg University Tigers and the College of Wooster Fighting Scots, two of the most successful men’s basketball programs in NCAA Division III history, will renew their spirited North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) rivalry at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, in Wittenberg’s Pam Evans Smith Arena. Once again, tickets are in demand.

Wittenberg is ranked ninth in NCAA Division III, while Wooster is the No. 2 team in the nation currently, and neither team has lost an NCAC game so far in the 2013-14 season. Because Wittenberg officials anticipate another large and enthusiastic crowd, it is necessary to make several changes to the Department of Athletics’ standard ticket policy.

Customarily, all seating in Pam Evans Smith Arena is general admission. However, for the game against Wooster, all seating will be reserved by section.

Wittenberg faculty, staff and students planning to attend the game MUST pick up tickets in advance by showing a Wittenberg ID. Each faculty and staff member is entitled to two tickets and each student is entitled to one ticket, which can be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the Center Dining Room in the Benham-Pence Student Center, between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, in Legends Lobby of the HPER Center, or between 5 and 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16, also in Legends Lobby.

Each ticket will be marked with a section in Pam Evans Smith Arena, as opposed to a specific seat. During the pre-sales on Thursday in HPER Center, additional tickets may be purchased for $8 apiece, also marked only with a section. This pre-sale is also open to the general public. On game day, tickets will go on sale at 4 p.m. Wooster fans will have the opportunity to purchase tickets starting at that time.

Heading into a key NCAC game at DePauw on Wednesday, Jan. 15, Wittenberg has won 11 games in a row to improve to 12-1 overall and 6-0 in the conference. Wooster comes into the week with records of 12-1 overall and 6-0 in conference play, heading into a home game Wednesday against Hiram.
