Nicole Marburger

Nicole Marburger joined the Wittenberg field hockey program as an assistant coach in 2014.

A field hockey standout at Lynchburg College in Virginia, Marburger comes to the Tigers after a four-year career on defense. As a junior in 2012, the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association named Marburger second team all-region and the Virginia Sports Information Directors voted her first-team all-state. That followed spots on the All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) first-team and ODAC All-Tournament team.

As a senior in 2013, Marburger served as a team captain and capped her career with second team all-state, all-region and all-conference honors as well as a repeat performance on the ODAC All-Tournament team.

An advocate for the game, Marburger helped administter the First Touch Lynchburg Field Hockey Tournament and volunteered for four years with the Oley Valley Youth Field Hockey League near her hometown of Boyertown, Pa.

A 2014 graduate of Lynchburg, Marburger holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a minor in sport management.
