Marianne Beshara was named head coach of the Tiger Field Hockey program in January 2000. In four years she compiled a 58-21 overall record and a mark of 42-8 in North Coast Athletic Conference play before resigning following the 2003 season. This includes an NCAA Division III Tournament berth (2002), two NCAC regular season championships (2000, 2002, 2003) and two NCAC tournament championships (2002, 2003). In four years her teams outscored opponents 173-91 and NCAC opponents 125-41, and have recorded 31 shutouts in 79 games.

For her efforts, Beshara has been voted NFHCA Great Lakes Region Coach of the Year in 2000 and 2002, and North Coast Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2000, 2002 and 2003, in addition to being selected to coach the North Squad at the 2001 North/South Senior All-Star game.

She has coached several players to high individual honors as well; eight National All-Americans, 24 Great Lakes Region All-Americans, and 28 All-NCAC selections. In addition she has coached eight NCAC Players of the Week and in 2002 coached the NCAC Defensive Player of the Year. Also two Tigers have been selected to the prestigious North/South Senior All Star Game. Her players perform off the field as well - 14 have been named National Academic All-Americans. In 2003, Emily Duh was named NCAC Scholar Athlete, a prestigious academic honor bestowed on one male and one female senior athlete each year.

Beshara is an active member of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association and the United States Field Hockey Association. She currently serves as the Great Lakes Chair of the National All American Committee and also is serving on the NCAA Division III National Field Hockey Committee. Presently she is the USFHA Head Site Coach for the Pittsburgh site of the National Futures Program, as well as director of a Nike Field Hockey Camp held at Wittenberg each July. She has coached across the country in several camps and also has taken teams to England, Barbados and Holland.

Beshara played at Ohio University from 1995-98. A forward for the Bobcats, she earned All-American West Region honors in 1998 and All-Mid American Conference in 1997 and 1998. Beshara ranks in Ohio's top-10 career point leaders. During her senior year at Ohio, Beshara captained both the field hockey and lacrosse programs.

Off the field, Beshara earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education (1999) while a two-time Academic All-MAC selection (1997, 1998). She then continued on at Ohio to complete her Master's of Science Degree in Athletic Administration in June, 2000.
