Tigers Record Shutout in First Home Game

Springfield, OH- Wittenberg completed in their first home match of the season against the Ferrum Panthers and came away with their second shutout of the season.

Just under 10 minutes into the game, Lucy Ripepi started the scoring with a goal after an assist from Victoria Pippinich. Just ten minutes later, in the second quarter, Emily Kuijten found the back of the net to go up 2-0. In the third, Ripepi found the goal for her second time on the day. Emily Owens added to the lead in the fourth to extend the lead to 4-0.

Notables: Wittenberg outshot Ferrum 43-0 and had the advantage in penalty corners as well, 14-0. All three goalies played again, seeing Izzy Thompson for most of the game.

Leaders: The Tigers were led offensively by Ripepi with two goals, one in each half, while also leading in shots with 12, 8 of which came on goal.
