Tigers End Weekend With Loss From Colonels

Danville, KY- The Tigers continued their Kentucky trip with a match-up against the Colonels of Centre College. Coming off of an exciting 3-2 win over Sewanee, Wittenberg looked to improve their early season record. The series record against Centre is now tied after Wittenberg faced a 4-0 loss to the Colonels with seven wins and seven losses since in the series.

Wittenberg's offense was met with a strong defense on Centre's side, who left the Tigers with zero shots. Wittenberg's defense in the cage was able to stop eight of the shots that came from the Colonels with freshmen goalkeepers Caitlin Archdeacon and Lyndsey Seagraves getting their first collegiate saves in net. Archdeacon, Seagraves, and Emma Hurguy each stepped in and faced eleven shots on goal as a group.

Wittenberg will look to bounce back on Wednesday as they head back down to Kentucky for a non-conference match-up against Transylvania at 8PM.
