Wittenberg Fall to No. 17 W&J In Season Opener

Washington, Pennsylvania- The Tigers fell short to No. 17 Washington and Jefferson on the road with a score of 3-2 in the season opener on Friday night.

The Tigers were led by Allison Ormsby with one goal and one assist and Alex Reed with one goal. Reed was assisted by Ormsby crossing from the left end line, while Ormsby finished in front of net at 29:55. Washington and Jefferson was quick to respond at 36:29, but Ormbsy responded with an unassisted goal at 47:41. Washington and Jefferson had 7 shots on goal resulting in 3 saves for Kate Liebeskind and 2 for Emma Hurguy.

W&J played a high tempo, high energy game, and our group did a great job matching that. We handled playing under pressure with great composure and created some threatening attacking opportunities.
