Wittenberg Field Hockey Falls In NCAC Final

Granville, Ohio – The Wittenberg University field hockey team battled the Denison Big Red in the North Coast Atlantic Conference Championship game, falling by a final 2-1 at the end of the day. Today's game marked the Tigers first appearance in the NCAC finals since 2010, as they managed to keep Denison scoreless through the final thirty-five minutes of action. The Big Red found their way on the board first, scoring just four minutes into the game. Wittenberg would night be rattled, as Riley Trexler would capitalize off the Channa Visseren assist to knot things up just twenty minutes later.  Denison would put their final goal and the deciding goal in at the 32:49 mark of the first half, before heading into the intermission. Wittenberg closes out the season with a 14-6 record, 10-4 in the NCAC. This is the winningest season the Tigers have had since their 2010 NCAC Tournament Championship when they went 15-4 and 11-1.
