Tigers Blank Earlham 2-0 in NCAC Finale

RICHMOND, Indiana—Wittenberg field hockey dropped the Quakers of Earlham for the second time in 2016, as the Tigers played themselves right into the NCAC Tournament on Saturday. Wittenberg's 2-0 win landed the Tigers in the tournament with a matchup on Wednesday, November 2 against DePauw. On Saturday, the Tiger were led by Maddie Goelz and Isabella Wagner, who each scored for the Tigers in the win. Wittenberg enters tournament play with a 10-8 (8-6) overall record in 2016.

  • Goelz caged the first goal for the Tigers in the 20th minute, as Brighid Kortyna recorded her second assist of the season for the Tigers.
