Tigers Hang Tight With Kenyon, but Fall Short in Overtime 2-1

GAMBIRE, Ohio—Wittenberg faced off against the top ranked team in the Great Lakes Region on Sunday, Kenyon College, in an NCAC battle. The Tigers took the Lords to overtime in the match, but the 1-1 tie was broken in the 81st minute of action, as Kenyon was able to send a shot into the cage to secure the victory. Wittenberg kept pace with the Lords the entire match, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime, as it was apparent that the Tigers were the team in control for a majority of the match. Despite coming up short on the field, the Tigers were paced by Blaine Donnelly, as the sophomore scored her fourth goal of the season for the Tigers. Wittenberg takes nearly a week's hiatus from the field before squaring off against the College of Wooster on Friday, September 23 in Springfield.
