WOOSTER, Ohio - The Wittenberg Tigers made it 2-for-2 on the weekend after a 3-1 victory over Wooster.

The win came approximately 24 hours after Wittenberg opened the road trip with a 4-0 decision at Oberlin. Wittenberg improved to 2-7 overall and 2-3 in the league, while Wooster dropped to 1-9 overall and 0-5 in the NCAC.

Wittenberg held a 10-7 advantage in shots in the game, and the penalty corners difference matched that margin. Senior Paige Vanerstrom (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) led the Tiger offense with four shots, while sophomore Audrey Coler (Cincinnati, Ohio/Ursuline Academy) added two.

Coler opened the scoring with a goal at the 13:10 mark off a feed from sophomore Riley Trexler (Louisville, Ky./Atherton). After the two teams went into halftime with Wittenberg leading 1-0, the Scots responded with a goal in the 43rd minute.

Vanerstrom put Wittenberg back in front with a goal at the 60:44 mark and Coler finished off the scoring with a goal in the 67th minute. Freshman Blaine Donnelly () and Vanerstrom picked up the assists on the second half goals.

Junior Sarah Brownell (Oconomowoc, Wis./University Lake School) did the job in goal with four saves.

Next up for the Tigers is a Homecoming weekend contest against Earlham at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2.
