RICHMOND, Ind. - The Wittenberg Tigers snapped a three-game North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) slide with a 4-0 whitewashing of host Earlham.

The game was played less than 24 hours after a disappointing 1-0 home defeat at the hands of Ohio Wesleyan. The Tigers, who had scored just one goal in their previous three games, improved to 4-6 overall and 3-3 in the NCAC with the victory.

Earlham fell to 2-8 overall and 0-7 in the league.

It took a little more than 30 minutes for the Tigers to break the scoring drought. Sophomore Emma Foster (Westbury, NY/W.T. Clarke) found the back of the Quaker cage at the 30:06 mark off a feed from junior Beth Warning (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame).

After outshooting Earlham 12-0 in the first half, the Tigers kept up the pressure over the final 35 minutes to the tune of 14-3. Wittenberg cashed in three more times before the final horn sounded, tallying in the 52nd, 58th and 63rd minute to account for the final margin.

Junior Megan Loofbourrow (Prospect, Ky./Ballard) opened the second-half goal barrage. Warning made it 3-0 and freshman Michelle Murray (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) rounded things out with her first collegiate goal. Loofbourrow was credited with the assist on Warning's score, and Warning returned the favor on Murray's goal.

The shutout was Wittenberg's second of the season. Freshman goalkeeper Laura Jansing (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) was credited with two saves in the victory.
