WOOSTER, Ohio - Goals by Wooster in the final minute of each half decided the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) game as Wittenberg dropped a hard-fought 4-2 decision to the Scots.

The loss dropped Wittenberg to 2-10 overall and 2-7, while Wooster improved to 7-5 overall and 6-3 in the conference.

The Scots got on the board first with a goal in the sixth minute, but the Tigers rallied to tie the score on a goal by senior Kellen Morrissey (Aurora, Colo./Smoky Hill) at the 10:27 mark. She found the back of the Wooster cage after a shot by sophomore Beth Warning (Cincinnati, Ohio/Mount Notre Dame) was blocked and the rebound came to Morrissey.

Wooster got the better of things from that point on in the first half, tallying goals in the 32nd minute and then with the clock shut off at end of the first half. After Wooster attempted a penalty corner, the Tigers were unable to clear the ball and Katie Furbee made them pay with a shot from the left wing.

Ten and a half minutes into the second half, Wittenberg drew closer on a goal by Warning off a feed from freshman Tiffany McKenna (Belvidere, NJ/Belvidere). However, the Scots closed the game with a goal inside the final minute to account for the final margin of victory.

Wittenberg junior goalkeeper Alie Marousek (Pittsburgh, Pa./Portsmouth (NH)) came up with 13 saves in the loss, while a pair of Wooster netminders accounted for six. The Scots outshot Wittenberg 26-11 and attempted a whopping 18 penalty corners to five for the Tigers.
