Wittenberg Shut Out Again In 1-0 Loss At Centre

DANVILLE, Ky. - The Wittenberg Tigers are still searching the magical offensive formula in 2005, but it wasn't found on Saturday in a 1-0 loss at Centre College.

The loss dropped Wittenberg to 2-5 on the season, which is nearing its midpoint with the Tigers still in search of an offensive identity. The shutout loss was Wittenberg's fourth of the season.

Once again, the Tigers played well defensively, spearheaded by sophomore goaltender Nicole Irvin's 10 saves. However, the Colonels found the back of the cage two minutes into the second half, and that's all they would need as the Tigers mustered just 11 shots, eight of which came in the first 35 minutes.
