Reed Florence

Southeastern High School and Wittenberg graduate Reed Florence, the 2013 North Coast Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, joined the Tiger cocahing staff as coach of the safeties in 2016.  

In his three seasons as an Assistant Coach of the Tigers, the team has compiled an overall record of 29-4 and an NCAC-record of 24-2. 

The former Wittenberg quarterback joined the Millikin staff in January 2015 to serve as the Big Blue’s Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach.
 
Prior to his time in Decatur, Florence was the Quarterbacks Coach at Marian University in Indianapolis helping the Knights to an 11-3 record and a spot in the NAIA National Championship game.
 
Florence played quarterback for the Tigers during his career, being named the NCAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2013.  He threw for a Wittenberg record 3,366 yards and 38 touchdowns while completing more than 64 percent of his passes.  He broke a number of passing records at Wittenberg including career touchdowns with 74.
 
Florence earned a bachelor’s degree from Wittenberg in Sports Management in 2014.
