Coach Dimitroff returns to the Wittenberg football program to begin his fourth year overall in two separate coaching stints with the Tigers. Dimitroff coached wide receivers and tight ends under former Tiger head coach Ron Murphy during the 1986 and 1987 seasons. Coach Dimitroff begins his 42nd year of coaching football.

In 2016 Dimitroff helped lead the Tigers to a 10-2 season, the NCAC title and the second round of the NCAA playoffs. In June of 2017,Coach Dimitroff was inducted into the Dayton high school coaches Hall Of Fame, a great accolade for the seasoned mentor. Dimitroff has been an assistant at Springfield Catholic Central high school, where he helped lead the Irish to three state playoff appearances and a state runner up finish in 1991.

Dimitroff has coached at Springfield South high school where the Wildcats competed in the always tough  Western Ohio League, the Wildcats were known for their explosive offense and stingy defense. Coach Dimitroff was the Head coach at Springfield North high school and the Panthers made one state playoff appearance, and their only league (WOL) title, in school history.

Coach Dimitroff spent fifteen seasons at Upper Arlington high school, where the Golden Bears made the state playoffs eight times, culminating with a final four appearance in 1998, and a Division One State Championship in 2000 (15- 0), with a ESPN national ranking of #7. During the 2000 season, Dimitroff coached Mr. OHIO Football, Jeff Backes. Dimitroff spent the 2014/15 seasons as the co/offensive coordinator/offensive line coach at Springfield high school. Coach Dimitroff has coached four players who went on to play in the National Football League, Jabbar Threats /Jaguars/ Chiefs, Nick Myers/ Giants, Simon Fraser/ Browns/ Falcons, Blake Annen/ Bears/ Bills- currently active.

Jim received his bachelors degree from Wright State University, and his Master's degree from the University of Dayton. Coach Dimitroff has a lovely wife Cindy,and three children, Christina, and twins Alexis( 2017 Wittenberg graduate) and Dimitrious ( 2017 Xavier graduate).
