One of the finest quarterbacks in the history of Wittenberg football has returned to coach the position as Ben Zoeller, class of 2012, joins the staff prior to the 2013 season.

Zoeller's name appears over and over again in the Wittenberg football record book after he earned four varsity letters between 2008 and 2011. In his two years as a starter under center for the Tigers, Zoeller posted two of the top three passing seasons in school history en route to consecutive Mike Gregory Awards in 2010 and 2011 as the North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) Offensive Player of the Year.

He finished with 5,770 yards passing in his collegiate career to rank second in program history. The Tigers won two NCAC championships and went 2-2 in back-to-back NCAA Division III Tournament appearances in 2009 and 2010. During Zoeller's career, Wittenberg compiled a 36-8 record, including undefeated regular seasons in 2009 and 2010.

A native of Louisville, Ky., Zoeller earned his bachelor's degree in business from Wittenberg in 2012.
