Everett Selected To Play In Ohio vs. Michigan Senior Bowl

Springfield, Ohio – Former Wittenberg University football standout Jamaal Everett, class of 2013 from Kettering, Ohio, has been selected to compete for the Ohio team scheduled to compete in the Ohio vs. Michigan Senior Bowl at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Fawcett Stadium in Canton, Ohio.

Everett, a three-year starter at cornerback for the Tigers, will join some of the finest players in the state of Ohio, representing programs in NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA. The representatives from the Buckeye state will square off with a team made up of some of the top players in the state of Michigan, also from all college divisions.

The Ohio vs. Michigan Senior Bowl is organized by Columbus, Ohio-based GameDay Management, which owns and operates OhioCollegeFootball.com. This is the fourth consecutive year that GameDay Management has put together a senior all-star competition, with the previous editions pitting players from northern Ohio against players from southern Ohio.

Last year, quarterback Ben Zoeller, linebacker Zach Hurtt, and wide receivers Josh McKee and Michael Cooper, all class of 2012, rounded out their collegiate careers by playing in the OhioCollegeFootball.com Senior Bowl. Zoeller became the third Tiger to earn a Most Valuable Player award in as many years in the game after he completed 10-of-13 passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns in a 21-7 South team victory.

Linebacker Kyle Lohrman, class of 2010, won South Team Defensive MVP honors for his performance in a 7-0 loss to the North team in the inaugural Senior Bowl, and Eddie Vallery, class of 2011, earned South Team Defensive MVP in 2011.

Everett was a first-team All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) selection following the 2012 season, which ended with an overall record of 10-2 for the Tigers. Also a second-team all-conference honoree in 2011, Everett piled up 56 tackles, including 34 solo stops, and led the Tigers with 10 passes defensed on the season.

During his career, Wittenberg won three NCAC championships and posted a 3-3 record in three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances.
