Springfield, Ohio — Four Wittenberg University football standouts saw action in the first-ever OhioCollegeFootball.com Senior Bowl on Saturday, April 17, at Upper Arlington High School's Marv Moorehead Stadium. When the dust had settled, all had made significant contributions, led by Kyle Lohrman, class of 2010 from Loveland, Ohio, who was named the South team's Defensive Most Valuable Player.

In a defensive struggle won by the North 7-0, Lohrman was tremendous, finishing with a team-leading eight tackles, including one for a loss, a pass broken up and an interception.

In addition to Lohrman, quarterback Aaron Huffman, class of 2010 from Newark, Ohio, cornerback Brandyn Brown, class of 2010 from Louisville, Ky., and wide receiver Patrick Williams, class of 2010 from Plainfield, Ind., all saw extended action in the game, which featured two 45-man rosters comprised of student-athletes from NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA football programs throughout the state. In addition, kicker Zack Harris, class of 2010 from Plain City, Ohio, was on the roster but did not get into the game.

Huffman, who holds numerous school records after starting four straight years under center, completed 10-of-25 passes for 128 yards. Williams, who holds the school record for career pass receptions, was his favorite target as he made four catches for 60 yards. Brown, who ranks among the best punt returners in school history, was credited with four tackles in the game.

The fine individual performances in the OhioCollegeFootball.com Bowl was a fitting conclusion to the seniors' career, after they all played key roles in the Tigers' 18th undefeated regular season in school history in 2009. Wittenberg finished the season with a school record-tying 12 wins against just one loss, which came in the NCAA Division III Tournament quarterfinals at eventual national champion Wisconsin-Whitewater.
