Ninth Annual Wittenberg Football Golf Outing Set For June 9

Springfield, Ohio — For the ninth consecutive year, the Wittenberg University football program will host a golf outing to raise funds for the program. This year's event is scheduled for a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 9, at Reid Memorial Golf Course in Springfield. Lunch and registration begin at noon.

The event will be a four-person scramble with a shotgun start, and it will include prizes, raffles, dinner and awards. Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin, closest to the helmet, longest putt, lowest team score and a putting contest. The cost of participation is $75 for those who pre-register, $85 on the day of the outing, and $50 for those only attending the dinner. All proceeds from this year's event will go toward the purchase of audio-visual equipment, computer software and field equipment for the football program.

Event sponsorships are also available. Hole sponsorships (Tiger Up Sponsors) are $100; hole sponsorship and a door prize (Red and White Sponsors) is $300; hole sponsorship, door prize and sponsor plaque (Big Cat Sponsors) is $500; and hole sponsorship, door prize, sponsor plaque and game program advertisement (Edwards/Maurer Sponsors) is $1,000.
