Five Tiger football players received All-North Region honors last week. All-America awards are scheduled to be distributed from several organizations in the next two weeks.
Picking up second-team honors were junior offensive lineman Chad Thompson (Ft. Thomas, Ky./Highlands), senior linebacker Dustin Goldsbury (Columbus, Ohio/Ready) and senior defensive back John Hauser (Columbus, Ohio/Hartley). Making the third-team were junior wide receiver Skip Ivery (Columbus, Ohio/Groveport-Madison) and senior tailbackDaniel Grove (Uhrichsville, Ohio/Claymont).
In other Tiger football news, Hauser was selected to participate in the annual Aztec Bowl last weekend in Mexico. Hauser finished with eight tackles, second-most on the team, as he helped the Division III All-Stars to a 15-9 victory over a team of Mexican All-Stars.
