Wittenberg Baseball Partners With My Inner Warrior For 2020 Season

SPRINGFIELD, Ohio – The Wittenberg University baseball team has partnered with the My Inner Warrior Foundation again for the 2020 season.

According to the foundation's website, My Inner Warrior "aims to provide greater opportunity throughout inner-city baseball programs … such as providing new equipment and recruiting opportunities."

With a goal of $7,500, the My Inner Warrior Foundation is launching FREE Baseball Showcases across the country to provide recruiting opportunities for less fortunate athletes.

The foundation was created by Junior Jack Hollinshead, who is currently a catcher for the Tiger Baseball team. When asked about the foundation and his overall purpose, he said, "If I can provide a portion of the great opportunities I was given growing up from my parents, my coaches, and my trainers, then I know that there will be many baseball players who can move on to play at the next level."

The foundation, which was started in September of 2016, has raised over $30,000. As Jack says, "By the time I graduate from Wittenberg, I want to be able to name players who are playing at the next level because of My Inner Warrior."

Jack is not alone in his mission with My Inner Warrior, as he is joined by teammate Jack Siefert (Director of Development). In addition, the Executive team consists of Chloey DiBartolo (Bowling Green State University), David Hamrick (Ohio State University), Alex Ruggieri (Cleveland State University), and Claire Pugel (University of Akron).

Baldwin Wallace University, Kenyon College, and Capital University have also partnered with My Inner Warrior this season along with teams from Mayfield High School, St. Edward High School, and St. Ignatius.
