SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Heidelberg Student Princes rolled past the Wittenberg Tigers in non-conference action by a final score of 23-6.

The win moved Heidelberg, ranked No. 7 nationally, to 25-6 on the season. Wittenberg, which returns to action on Wednesday with a home game against Capital, fell to 6-19.

The Student Princes jumped on top with two runs in the first inning and four more in the third against senior starter Stu Haley (Winnetka, Ill./New Trier). Heidelberg broke the game open with 16 runs combined in the fifth and sixth innings.

Wittenberg's offense did account for 11 hits, including four singles off the bat of senior Zac Wilson (Eaton, Ohio/Eaton). Sophomore Cal Slusarz (Chesterland, Ohio/West Geauga) added two runs batted in, while freshman Timmy Bates (Westerville, Ohio/South) went 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
