Q & A with Dr. Gary-10/16/15

Q: What is your favorite class experience/professor experience at Witt?

A: My favorite class experience here at Wittenberg was probably my Microbiology class I took in the spring semester of 2014. My favorite professor to have is definitely Professor McWhorter in the Biology department, I recommend all Biology majors to take one, if not multiple classes with her! 

Q: How did you get involved in your sport? (When did you get involved in your sport? Why did you get involved in your sport?)

A: I got involved in the game of football when I was very young, around 8 years old. My family is big on sports and almost everybody in our family has played a sport, even collegiately. I fell in love with football right from the jump, especially the wide receiver position. I got involved with the game of football because I love to compete. I love to use my God given abilities and put them against everyone else's. There's nothing better than competition and every single day in the game of football is nothing short of that. 

Q: What is your most memorable sports moment at Witt?

A: My most memorable sports moment at Wittenberg so far was our home win against Wabash last year during the 2014 season. It came down to the wire and celebrating the win with my teammates was an unbelievable experience. 

Q: Why do you enjoy being a Wittenberg Tiger?

A: I enjoy being a Wittenberg Tiger because every single day I get the opportunity to be a role model for everybody across campus and also set a positive example on and off the field here at Wittenberg. 

Q: What is the most valuable thing you have learned through your sport that is applicable to life?

A: One thing I have learned through playing football here at Wittenberg is to wake up every day and compete. No matter if it’s in the classroom or on the field. Nothing is ever handed to you or guaranteed, you have to work for everything you want in life and spill your heart and soul into it if you want to be successful. 

Q: What do you see yourself doing after Witt?

A: After Wittenberg I hope to attend medical school in my pursuit to become a doctor.
