Q & A With Dr. Gary, featuring Madyson Fogle, Women's Basketball

Q & A with Dr. Gary - 12/2/15

Madyson Fogle ’16, Women’s Basketball, Sport Management major

Q: What is your favorite class experience/ professor experience at Wittenberg?

A:  My favorite class at Witt would have to be my sport management classes because they are very interesting to me and Professor Aylsworth does a great job at teaching and relating all the information back to sports and life.

Q: What is your most memorable sports moment at Witt?

A: My most memorable sports moment at Witt is when the women's basketball team went to Greece two summers ago. I made so many memories and it was a great experience to share with my teammates. It was also awesome to have the opportunity to play two games against Greek athletes.

Q: Why do you enjoy being a Wittenberg Tiger?

A: I enjoy being a Wittenberg tiger because I love how everyone in the community is so supportive of each team and all the different teams attend and support each other during games.

Q: What is the most valuable thing you have learned through your sport that is applicable to life?

A: I’ve learned that the minutes you play or the number of points you score isn’t want matters the most. It’s about being a part of something bigger than yourself.  I’ve grown as a person from being a part of a sport at Wittenberg through my four years and that you have to work hard to get where you want and what you want out of your sport or anything in life.

Q: What do you see yourself doing after Witt?

A: My plan for after Witt is being a grad assistant somewhere and coach basketball. I also want to continue my love for sports and be an event coordinator at the professional or college level.

Q: After your time at Wittenberg, how will you pass the light on to others?

A: I will pass the light on to others by describing the opportunities Wittenberg has given me, the relationships I have built and the memories I have made in my four years at Wittenberg.
