Wittenberg Hosts Wide Range Of Summer Youth Sports Camps In 2015

Springfield, Ohio – Summer will be as busy as always around the Wittenberg University athletics complex in 2015 as 11 different Wittenberg programs – men’s basketball, women’s basketball, field hockey, football, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, softball, tennis, track and field, men’s volleyball, and women’s volleyball – are sponsoring youth camps this year. 

The men’s basketball program is hosting individual skills camps July 12-15 and July 26-29, a shooting & position skills camp June 21-23, a varsity/junior varsity team camp June 18-19, junior high/ninth grade team camps June 11-12, June 15-16, and June 25-26, a junior varsity one-day shootout June 20, and varsity team shootouts June 13 and July 11. The women’s basketball program is hosting a prospect clinic for students in grades 6-12 on June 28-29, a skills clinic for grades K-5 July 16-17, and a shooting clinic for grades 6-12 on July 16-17. The women’s volleyball program is hosting an all-skills camp for grades 6-8 and an advanced skills camp for grades 9-12 on June 8-10, in addition to a three-day team summer camp July 19-21. Finally, the men’s volleyball program, which will compete for the first time as an intercollegiate athletics program in January 2016, is hosting a summer skills clinic for grades 7-12 on July 17, and one-day clinics on passing/defense July 22, hitting July 23, and setting on July 24.
