Andrews, Warye, Wallace Named NCAC Players Of The Week

NCAC — Men's Golf (April 8, 2014)

Wittenberg junior Alex Andrews (Kirtland, Ohio/Gilmour Acad.) fired a two-day total of 143 (74-69) and earned champion medalist honors at the Ohio Wesleyan Strimer Memorial after defeating senior teammate David Wetterich (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) in a one-hole sudden-death playoff. The sixth-ranked Tigers won their fourth tournament in the last five starts with a two-day total of 578 (293-285).

NCAC — Women's Lacrosse (April 8, 2014)

Wittenberg junior midfielder Logan Warye (Maineville, Ohio/Kings) continued to lead the team in scoring with 11 goals and seven assists in a big week for the Tigers. Warye scored four goals including the  game winner in a win over Kenyon, netted two goals and three assists in a key victory over Allegheny, and scored five times with four assists in a win over Thiel.

NCAC — Men's Outdoor Track & Field, Sprints/Hurdles (April 8, 2014)

Wittenberg sophomore Laike Wallace (Washington Court House, Ohio/Washington) broke the tape in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 54.70 to lead the Tigers at their own Invitational on Saturday. Wittenberg finished third out of seven teams at the event with 111 points.
