Wittenberg Facilities:
All activities associated with our camps take place in the Health, Wellness & Athletics (HWA) Complex, which includes Pam Evans Smith Arena and the 1929 Gymnasium. There are five full-size courts: three in Pam Evans Smith Arena and two in the 1929 Gymnasium.

All teams are guaranteed 4 games. Registration is open to any and all Varsity/JV boys basketball teams. Registration is limited and will be done on a first come, first serve basis - fully registered with payment. We divide teams up into 2 Pools (WHITE & RED Division). We will do our best to be flexible based on your team’s needs (scheduling, division, match-ups, etc.).

All camp activities are conducted in the Health and Wellness Athletic Center (HWA) on campus. The air-conditioned HWA Center includes 5 full courts and 20 basket areas. For boys and girls going into grades 2-9.

Join the Wittenberg Field Hockey coaching staff and current members of the team July 5-7th for our overnight camp. We look forward to having you on campus!
The Wittenberg Field Hockey Overnight Camp is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday, July 5th and Sunday, July 6th, and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Monday, July 7th, on the campus of Wittenberg University. The camp is open to anyone in grades 9-12. This camp will develop everything from basic skills to elite skills and tactics. This includes individual skills, goal-scoring, small games, and scrimmaging. We will also include goalie-specific training. We will be providing a competitive environment with a focus on energy and effort with a lot of fun!
Camp cost is $325. All campers are responsible for bringing their own equipment including, but not limited to, the following: Pillow, bedding, towels, toiletries, shorts, shirts, socks, turf shoes, shin guards, mouth guard, stick, and water bottle. No equipment will be provided to ANY camper. Wittenberg Field Hockey pinnies will be provided. Housing will be provided for campers in a Wittenberg dorm. All meals will be covered by camp starting with lunch on July 5th through breakfast on July 7th.

Head Coach Brighid Kortyna ’18 ‘21
After five seasons as an assistant coach in Wittenberg University’s field hockey program, Brighid Kortyna was elevated to the head coaching position at her alma mater in January 2024. In her first season as head coach, she was awarded North Coast Athletic Conference Staff of the Year while leading the team to their best season since 2011.
A native of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania, earned her bachelor’s degree with cum laude honors from Wittenberg in sport management and a minor in business in 2018, and she completed her master’s degree in athletic coaching at Wittenberg in 2021. As a midfielder for Wittenberg, Kortyna started 76 of 78 games between 2014 and 2017. A two-year team captain, she earned honorable mention All-North Coast Athletic Conference (NCAC) honors in 2014, in addition to All-Academic Squad recognition from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) following multiple seasons during her career.
Goalie Coach Maddie Passarella
Passarella is a graduate of Miami University ’19, 20’ where she was a standout goal keeper.
During her team at Miami, she was named All-MAC First Team (2017), MAC All-Tournament Team (2017), MAC Defensive Player of the Week twice in 2017, All-MAC Second Team (2018), GAA (1.05) ranked sixth in the nation, tied for the second-most shutouts in a single season in program history, tied for 19th in the nation in single-game saves for her 16-save performance against Virginia (Oct. 22, 2017).

Current members of Wittenberg Field Hockey will be onsite and staying in the dorms as camp counselors during your stay.

Camp Description: Our Summer ID Camp is designed to provide those interseted in pursuing a soccer career at the collegiate level with a fun and competitive environment where they can grow their skill set and learn the Wittenberg Women's Soccer Way. Both the on field and classroom sessions used throughout the camp mimic what we use with our players here at Wittenberg. All sessions will be run by our Coaching Staff and our current Student-Athletes will be at camp to help participants throughout the few days they are here. This camp will begin on Wednesday afternoon and concludes on Friday late morning. The camp will include a Wittenberg Soccer T-Shirt, multiple on field and classroom sessions, all meals and overnight expenses covered.

Camp Description: Our High School Team Camp is designed to provide teams with a fun and competitive environment to train in preparation for the upcoming season. This camp will begin on Friday afternoon and end on Sunday afternoon. The camp will include a Wittenberg Soccer T-Shirt, multiple on field and classroom sessions, all meals and overnight expenses covered.
This camp will run July 11-13, 2025 and will begin Friday afternoon and conclude Sunday late morning/early afternoon.

The camp kicks off with two hours of focused training covering all fundamental skills including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defense. During a short break, campers will have the opportunity to participate in a Q&A session with experienced coaches and players, offering valuable insights and tips. The day wraps up with an hour of competitive play, where participants can apply what they’ve learned in a fun, game-like environment. Come ready to train, learn, and compete!

Attacking, Setting, and Blocking
Join us at Wittenberg University for a high-energy, three-hour volleyball camp focused on Attacking, Blocking, and Setting. Designed for intermediate to advanced players, this camp provides targeted instruction and high-repetition drills to develop technique, timing, and court awareness in these key front-row skills. Led by Wittenberg coaches and players, athletes will receive personalized feedback and training in a collegiate environment. Elevate your game and sharpen your offensive and net play with us!

Defense, Passing, and Serving
Elevate your foundational skills at Wittenberg University’s three-hour Defense, Passing, and Serving Camp. This specialized clinic is designed to strengthen the core elements of every successful volleyball player—ball control, serve consistency, and defensive positioning. Through focused drills and live repetitions, athletes will enhance their technique, improve reaction time, and build confidence in both serve-receive and back-row play. Led by Wittenberg’s coaching staff and players, this camp offers a fun, supportive environment where you’ll build confidence, learn new skills, and take your game to the next level.
