Soccer has been at the forefront of life for Bill Rains since childhood as a player and today as a coach. Bill began playing competitive club soccer with United FC and at Westland High School in Columbus. Bill continued his career at Columbus State before turning his professional focus to player development. Bill’s resume to date includes coaching stints with Stars FC & Hilliard FC, Soccer Shots, and at Hilliard Bradley high school.

Bill has also served in a variety of leadership roles as is currently the Director of Coaching for Locomotive SC in Columbus where he is also a member of the Board. Bill is the father of three  including two sons who played soccer at Westland High School while his daughter represents her school on the volleyball team. Bill has an extensive soccer education and holds the US Youth Soccer F, E, and D licenses, NSCAA National Diploma, NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma and he has a USSF Grade 8 Referee license.
